About

My background in improv comedy isn’t just about punchlines and stage presence; it’s the foundation of my creative approach to design. The core tenets of improv – “yes, and,” active listening, and embracing the unexpected – are surprisingly powerful tools in the design world.

“Yes, and” translates to building upon client ideas, no matter how unconventional, and finding ways to make them even stronger. Active listening means truly understanding a client’s needs and vision, going beyond the surface to uncover the underlying goals. Embracing the unexpected allows me to adapt to changing circumstances, find creative solutions to unforeseen challenges, and ultimately deliver a product that exceeds expectations.

This improvisational mindset fosters a collaborative and dynamic design process. Just like on stage, I work in partnership with my clients, building a creative dialogue where ideas flow freely and possibilities are explored without limitation. My years of training at renowned improv institutions like The Second City and iO have honed my ability to think on my feet, find inspiration in the moment, and transform seemingly disparate elements into a cohesive and compelling whole. This translates into designs that are visually appealing and strategically sound, reflecting each client’s unique personality and objectives.
